Recently the editor of Grow Northwest, a local magazine 'celebrating food, farms and the DIY spirit in the great Northwest' contacted me about our Vegan vs. Carnivore Throwdown we held for Foodbuzz's June 24x24 meal. She saw it through our local farmer's market facebook page (which I had tagged in a photo on the La Pure Mama page) and liked the concept so much she asked me to write an article about it for their most recent issue!
Of course I abliged! Now, writing it was a little more difficult; although writing comes very easy to me and I already had the format because I posted about it, I didn't want the sarcasm to be dripping so much that it saturated the magazine pages so I toned it down a bit. You on the blog have to deal with it (said sarcastically because I know you really love it) :)
You can pick up a copy at local co-ops, farmer's markets, libraries, grocery stores, etc... in Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan Counties and some areas of Seattle. You can also, oh so conveniently download a copy from their website: http://www.grownorthwest.com/
Thank you to Grow Northwest for putting out an excellent magazine and for giving me the opportunity to write for you! It was so much fun and I will gladly do it again anytime!
