Welcome to the La Pure Mama Store!!

The La Pure Mama Store is open for business!!

Welcome to the La Pure Mama Store; I am officially open for business! Ok, as you know, if you are one of my lovely readers, I have been working on opening my very own store for the last couple months. I have been scouring OpenSky for products that I use and love in my very own kitchen, getting things set up, researching, etc...

Well, today is the day and for my first 'official store post', I would like to offer you, my fantastic readers 25% off your first order! Sweet! Even better? the discount is effective until August 16th. When you check out, just enter the code: EXCITE25. This is my thank you to you for being a faithful reader and now, shopper!

I would also like to take a moment to introduce the newest member of my kitchen family... the Ravi wine chiller. OpenSky shipped it to me to try as a new option in my store and p.s. I love it so now I want to offer it to you as well!

Now, if you're like me, you like your white wine cold; and when I say cold I mean cold. There is nothing like a deliciously cold glass of sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio on a hot summer day; or cold winter day for that matter.

The only thing that cramps my style is coming home and having NO cold wine in the fridge. This lovely Ravi wine chiller completely solves my devastating issue! It chills wine, one glass at a time so you don't have to shove a bottle in the freezer and wait, or even worse, put an ice cube in your wine; ugh.

How does it work? I'm so glad you asked :) You simply put the cartridge in the freezer for at least six hours; make sure you do this ahead of time. I actually leave it in the freezer all the time then just pull it out when I need it.

So when you're cursing that your wine isn't cold all you have to do is this:

1. Open your bottle as per usual;
2. Pull the cartridge from the freezer, slide it into the Ravi container;
3. Put lid on container;
4. Plug the Ravi Chiller into the top of your wine (like a cork)

5. Cover 'pour control' hole on the Ravi chiller;
6. Turn bottle upside down;

7. Either wait a few minutes or pour. Note: the longer you wait the colder your wine will be. What's happening? The wine trickles into the Ravi cartridge and chills. If you leave it there for a bit it will be colder;
8. Use your finger to control the flow of wine into your glass. Again, the slower you pour the colder it will be;

9. When glass is filled, turn the bottle right side up again and let wine that is still in Ravi trickle back into the bottle;
10. Remove Ravi chiller, rinse, remove cartridge and put back in the freezer for next time;
11. ENJOY your cold glass of wine!

Seriously fantastic! And by the time you're ready for another glass, your wine is mostly chilled so you can choose to enjoy it semi chilled or use your Ravi again.

This is perfect for picnic use, when the wine may get warm (the cartridge lasts like an ice pack would) or just for those days when you need a glass of wine and didn't 'plan ahead'.

It is a seriously fabulous addition to your kitchen; bonus? It also makes a fantastic and fun gift for any wine lover in your life :)

Please note the delicious Dakota Creek Pinot Gris and fantastic cocktail napkin because, I would indeed hit that :)

Thank you for bearing with me as I start up my store... remember, if there is something you love and would like to see, email me and let me know. This store is a work in progress and I want to offer what you want so let me know and let's make it great together!

  1. Congrats, that is awesome!! :)

  2. I'm looking for a nice big pot to do my canning in (not a pressure cooker). I like to can in the tall quart jars so I need a pot that I can have the boiling water cover those jars. Any suggestions?

  3. Tiffany, thank you! check back often for new products and information :) Thanks for visiting too!

    Lazaro, thanks so much! It should be fun :)

    Lindsey, I added a really cool canning pot. This isn't one that I personally have but I love that you can use it as a cooking pot as well. My (cheap) canning pot only has one use and takes up space... check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks for stopping by!
