Lazaro Cooks! A Guest Post... Pasta Fagioli

Gang!

I'm here but I'm not really 'here', persay... I am guest posting over at one of my most favorite bloggers' place: Lazaro Cooks! Lazaro was ever so gracious to ask me to do a guest post for his 'way better than mine' blog.

Check it out. I am so excited and honoured that Lazaro asked me to join the ranks of his wonderful choices in guest bloggers... I dedicate my dish to Italy. I'll be back soon Italy, I promise.

Oh, and while you're over at Lazaro's place, you absolutely need to check out the rest of his stuff. He does some incredibly amazing things with food. Seriously. He's an awesome cook and a great person.

Have fun exploring and let me know what you think of the pasta fagioli, for sure!

I'll be back tomorrow with a meal worthy of the incredibly winter storm that is gracing the Northwest with its presence right now. Did you hear we're supposed to have snow this weekend? Crazy.

See you soon!

p.s. because I have totally slacked on posting pics from Italy I love you and the theme is Italia, here are a few of my faves from the trip... more to come!

Grapes from the vineyeard literally in our front yard. Literally.

Firenze

One of the many squares in Firenze

We did a lot of this...

Can't be in Italia and not have bruschetta. Oh. I made this by the way :)

In the Cinque Terre we happened upon a 'festival' supporting the local firefighters. There was a ton of food.. wine (this wine) of course and no one spoke even a lick of english... it was awesome!

Here's the festival. One of the highlights for me.

Aaaand... one of my alltime favorite pictures of the trip. I call it 'don't mess with Italia'

Arturo with his friend, Arturo :)

The Sangria that I still have dreams about. It was that good.

The Leaning Tower... those are my parents :)

It may not look impressive but damn... it was good! Words cannot explain.

Here is a version of pasta fagioli with bread. Noodle's lunch while we were in Siena and it was so so good!

More to come!

xoxo

  1. Lovely photos. Italy is my dream destination. What I'd like to know is this... do the Italians say "fajoli" or "fazool"?

    :)

  4. Butter Yum... Italy is truly gorgeous. I would live there in a heart beat!

And to my knowledge, traditionally it's pronounced 'fajool', emphasis on the 'oo' :)

Roxan... I'm so glad to have you here! I will head on over to your blog and definitely check it out :)
